The Dirt Devils and Cubs
Fastpitch softball organizations have joined forces again this year to form a High School Spring Team. This team is for competitive
softball players that either do not wish to play ball in high school or for some reason did not make their high school teams,
but want to stay in shape and play competitively waiting for their travel teams to form again for the summer. Depending on
how many girls are interested depends on how many teams we will form.
Last year
we made two trips across the border in Iowa to play in some very good tournaments. It was a big success and hopefully it will
be the same this year. We are also looking
at forming a 14U spring team for the 8th graders that will not have a team to play on because of girls playing in high school.
This team will play in tournaments in Illinois.
The Windy City Spring Team will run from March thru May. We will be looking at getting into 3 to 4 Tournaments and practicing
2-3 times a week.
The cost will be determined by:
Volunteer coaches will be Coach Mike Jerman and Coach Mike Callans from the Dirt Devils, Coach Kevin McCutcheon
from the Cubs.
